Marian Hill M3F Festival One could argue that there are simply too many electro pop acts on the circuit at the moment making it impossible for new artists to be given any kind of attention.
The pair has known each other for years and years and therefore have a completely electric rapport when taking to the stage.
They have supported a number of artists on tours, notably MisterWives where they found their show was met with great reviews and an appreciation from new listeners.
The high production values of their recorded works translates well and this was noted as an impressive feat for a new artist, the vocal quality of Samantha was also highly praised as she commands attention with a spell binding rendition of 'One Time'.
The accompanying musicians complete a really tight live operation and one that they are likely to be able to rely on in years to come as they ascend forward.
Hearing an artist for the first time, you're taken away by how good they are. Hearing them live for the first time, completely different experience.
I expected them to be great but they were better than great. The Acoustics in the Fonda theater did their sound and vocals justice. You could feel the vibrations flowing through your body in an unbelievable way.
You could tell they were giving us every drop of energy they could and leaving it on that stage. They had fun; so we had fun. And will definitely be going back to the Fonda, it's an amazing experience just being in that iconic venue.
The Marian Hill show last night was amazing! Their energy is infectious and you can tell they love performing.
It was also great to see them in a more intimate venue after seeing them in a festival setting at Outside Lands in August. During one of the songs Jeremy missed a beat, and one of the coolest things is that he stopped the song and said "we are going to start that one again - I want to make it right".
Having someone that dedicated to their music and the audience experience can be rare and it was awesome to hear.
What else can you say about Samantha outside of just flawless? Her voice is perfection even live. The concert in San Diego was absolutely amazing!
I didn't think it was even remotely possible to love them even more. They each were so passionate and into the music that it really enhanced the entire experience.
It was also awesome how they each got their own time to shine a few times throughout the show as well! Seriously one of my favorites and looking forward to more of their shows and music to come!!!
Side note the opener was awesome as well! It was his first show and I would have never been able to tell. He did a spectacular job as well!
These guys are a must see. Doug Fir is one of my favorite venues, being a smaller and more intimate stage, and Samantha the singer played the space so well I feel like she needed more room!
The sax is amazing, Jeremy the keyboardist's energy is awesome They played all the best songs from their last album, plus four from their upcoming album - the new stuff was really catchy.
I'd put money on these guys rising to the top, so go see them before they explode! I loved Marian Hill. I saw them at Lollapalooza and was so excited to come and see them again.
They definitely did not let me down. I stood in line to get a good spot, and got second row right in the center. I also brought one of my friends that knew nothing of them and she had a bawl.
They were so good! I saw them open for MisterWives!! She was so cool I just wanted to go up to her and give her a hug, the saxophone player was crazy talented and the electronic sound dude had the most energy ever seen in a human!!
Went to see Marian Hill last night at Brooklyn Steel. See all upcoming concerts At an early age Martina McBride was introduced to country music through her father.
After performing in several rock bands around the Kansas area, she married a studio engineer, John McBride, and moved with him to Nashville.
While in Nashville she secured a gig selling souvenirs for Garth Brooks and also worked on recording a demo tape that her husband produced. The demo tape gained her a recording contract with RCA in and after she was signed to the label Garth Brooks invited her as an opening act on his tour.
The album did well on the charts reaching the No. The album contained two singles that made it in the top 10 on the charts. Each album that McBride releases always manages to do stellar in the charts even if she veers from her traditional musical styles.
McBride is extolled by other musicians who are constantly asking to work with her. She has also embarked on multiple headlining tours that usually sell out and has shared the bill with such musicians as Sarah McLachlan, George Strait, and Gladys Knight.
As of McBride has been nominated 17 times for the Female Vocalist award from the Country Music Association and has been nominated for 14 Grammy awards.
From the minute she steps on stage, Martina McBride has the crowd in the palm of her hand. She keeps it up nonstop, and just when you think the night is over, McBride comes back for five more encores.
Starting in with the release of her first album, The Time Has Come, Martina Mcbride's music and style have continued to impress.
She is a musical powerhouse, releasing eleven albums, each better than the last. Her track record testifies to her success. One of the best things about McBride is how she connects to the audience.
She looks like she's having fun onstage, which makes her performance more enjoyable and allows the audience to feel as though they are sharing a moment with her.
From the opening song to the final encore, Martina McBride holds the audience with her soul swaying, moving performances, leaving them checking websites to see when they can see her live again.
One of the most successful avenues down which female solo artists have ventured, in terms of commercial appeal, over the past couple of decades - in the U.
The Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill and Shania Twain all stand as testament to this particular phenomenon, and the same can also be said of Martina McBride, who has now sold in excess of fourteen million albums over the course of a career that has now spanned more than a quarter of a century.
She remains a popular live performer in the U. Martina Mariea Schiff is considered to have found the perfect balance between country and pop to achieve an overall universal appeal.
Tonight is all about the very best selection of her career and the music that is assured to have the whole crowds singing along in force.
The exuberant performer is enthused during 'Wild Angels' as she gets the whole venue swaying from side to side in time with the country beats.
She takes the time to introduce her loyal band one by one as they each demonstrate a small bar or two on their respective instruments whilst cheered on by the responsive audiences.
